This is amazing: God deliberately allowed Paul's problem. Weakness is a hallmark of the Apostle.

Discipleship is crucial.

Be encouraged when you go through trials: He is proving you righteous.

Our God given breakthrough often comes through our brothers and sisters, and when He is ready, He will move on their hearts for us.

Job 32-37

At least Elihu's speech seems to worship God, and he seems to have a measure of compassion, because he is cross the friends condemn Job.

Many Christians would lose their confidence that they are right with God if things got this bad. I love that Job fixed onto his heavenly intercessor with boldness, certain of his right standing with God.



19.25 For I know that my Redeemer lives,
      And He shall stand at last on the earth;

 26 And after my skin is destroyed, this I know,
      That in my flesh I shall see God,

 27 Whom I shall see for myself,
      And my eyes shall behold, and not another.
      How my heart yearns within me!

It is not always good to aquiesce to accusation. Sometimes, like Job we must resist it and keep our integrity.

1 Corinthians 14

¹ Pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy.

³⁹ Therefore, brethren, desire earnestly to prophesy, and do not forbid to speak with tongues.

Are we pushing in for more?

Job 6-9

³³ Nor is there any mediator between us,
Who may lay his hand on us both.

Good to know we do have a mediator who knows our weakness and pleads our cause in heaven, so that we have confidence to approach the most holy place with boldness!

1 cor 13

8 Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away.

There are many ministry gifts, and many methods too, but love never fails.

Eliphaz' concern for righteousness led to cursing, a trap the revival police fall easily into.

These chapters illustrate the way the Spirit of God ministers through each of us, and how we need to release what we have and give honour to others, particularly those given leadership responsibility over us.

It is clear from Job's anxious sacrifices continually carried out "just in case" that he was troubled inwardly before it ever appeared outwardly.
