(11v3) 'Cursed is the man who does not obey the terms of this covenant'
God's people simply could not keep the covenant - they were helpless to beat the curse that came with disobedience. They would need a champion - Jesus Christ,the perfect servant, willing to represent God's people before the judgment throne, and to receive the curse on their behalf.
