47 “Because you did not serve the LORD your God with joy and gladness of heart, for the abundance of everything,
Diligence is serving with passion, with joy and gladness.
It was interesting to discover as I read these chapters that the curse was more detailed than the blessing: joy is always simple, but misery is complex.
