Joshua 5-7

The people are circumcised, and then Joshua sees Jesus and is told he's on Holy ground. The decision to be set apart to the Lord as Holy brings the presence of the Lord which makes the land Holy.

There is a parallel between the sin of Achan, and the sin of Ananias and Sapphira. In both cases, the people had set themselves apart before the Lord (in circumcision/in prayer) and seen great victory as a result, but the covetousness of individuals could have compromised that testimony and future victory unless the sin had been cut out. We need to cut out selfish ambition from our churches.

Circumcised hearts! O Hallelujah!
