Deut 15v11: "Be openhanded towards your brothers..." Love is to be expressed in practical ways towards our brethren.
Deut 15v15: "Remember that you were slaves..." This phrase keeps popping up. I was once a slave. It's important to remember that, so that firstly I don't try to return to that slavery by allowing sin to have a grip on my lifestyle, and so that secondly I have greater compassion on those still held in that state of slavery.
