Matthew 8 - Following on from 7v29 ('He was teaching them as one who had authority') chapter 8 reveals Jesus' authority over sickness (1-4), soldiers (5-13), demons (14-17), the elements (23-27) and more demons (28-34). After all this, the chapter closes with people begging him to leave their region.
In Genesis 22, Abraham responds in faith to the command of the Lord, trusting His promise in any circumstance. Representing the people of God, Isaac is spared, and God provides an alternative sacrifice.
